Hi! We are Andrea Sansone and Andrew Hamilton, the faces behind A2Summit. Based in Golden, Colorado, we are a dynamic duo driven by our shared passion to adventure in the mountains. The mountains brought Andrea to Colorado in 2013, and Andrew has been consistently rooted in Colorado since graduating college at CU Boulder in 1998.
Andrew, 50, is a father of 4, and a programmer who works from home. Andrea, 36, is a nurse working at Children's Hospital Colorado. Together, we do our best to strike a balance between work and family while pursuing our passion of staying active in the mountains and on the trails.
Consistency in training is our priority, and we stay motivated by keeping a variety of challenging mountain adventures in our forethought. We love skinning/ski touring, and mountain biking during the winter. We often head to Moab December-February to get in those challenging uphill rides.
However, our journey is not solely about our own personal accomplishments and adventures. We hope to share our expertise and experience and be a point of contact to help as many people as we can thrive in their own outdoor or mountain pursuits. Contributing towards the success of any one person's goal, fills us with a profound sense of purpose.

Together we have an impressive resume. Andrew has been hiking mountains since he was 11, Andrea, since she was 21. Combined summits simply in Colorado, total over 1600 mountains, we have summited the contiguous United States 14ers, Colorado's highest hundred, Washington and Oregon's famous volcanoes and more.
One of Andrew's most cherished accomplishments is the success of hiking with his two oldest sons. Calvin completed the Colorado 14ers twice before he was 10, and Axel completed the Colorado 14ers before he turned 7. Phew! We call that the determined father award. Our drive is rooted in testing our limits, and seeing how far and how fast we can push ourselves in the mountains. This has led us to accomplish multiple Co-Ed mountain records and individual records.
